Experiment 1- Stairs

Stairs from underground going upwards:
For Pasi Petanan

Sketch:

Sketch-up:

Materials: Wood planks on top of steel skeleton, steel balustrades.

The stairs are lit up by natural light, casting a spotlight on the food being carried up by either the chef or waiter, a landing is situated in the middle for a moment of pause for the chef or waiter to readjust their emotions and also gives time to think about how they are presenting the food to customers.

Stairs for first floor going down:
For Givenchy

Sketch:

Sketch-up:

Materials: Steel Supporting columns, darken concrete treads

This stair suspended by poles tries to focus on the "mysterious" feature of the Givenchy aesthetic, as the model walks down the stairs from the work space to present the clothing, the wall of hanging  columns creates a sense of blurriness yet it's also transparent allowing the piece of clothing to remain unseen before presenting to the customers.

Before First Class...

HSC Major Work

"best piece of creative work"

This is one of of the six panels of watercolour drawing/ painting that I completed from my HSC major work. My work explores the conflicting relationship of men and their environment, the panels connect and combine to tell a sequential story, a progression of the relationship; from harmony to exploitation to retribution. I featured myself in each panel with artificial constructs to represent the overall humanity but also my personal connection with the environment.

Stalh House

"great architecture"

The iconic Stahl House designed by Pierre Koenig is a beautiful modern residence that overlooks Los Angeles from the Hollywood Hills. Originally, Buck Stahl had begun to excavate while being the architect and contractor himself as he had a vision of a glass and steel constructed house that allowed an amazing panoramic view of the city below. In 1959, the building was inducted into the Case Study House program sponsored by the Arts and Architecture magazine in the aim to introduce modernist principles into residential architecture.

Museum Giraffe
"original photo of something beautiful"

Some might not find this beautiful at all and are wondering why it's here but the contrast of something natural framed by a piece of man-made architecture is appealing to me. Looking out of place, the stuffed giraffe stands dead yet looking alive next to a Georgian architecture column in the Australian Museum, the contoured lines of the giraffe are distinct to the straight precise lines of the space painting the fine line of life and death.
